Although round beds are considered somewhat of a taboo in the world of contemporary furniture design thanks to their flamboyant presence in the 80’s, we found 10 really gorgeous round platform beds that have grace, style and timeless appeal that will enhance any modern bedroom setting.

1. Zero by Pressoto

A wow factor with dramatic presence, Zero by Pressoto features a round platform, and a mattress niche designed to accommodate any standard sized mattress.  With an abundance of finishes which range from leather, wood and fabric, the Zero Bed can be further customized with a high or low headboard, and accessorized with rotating nightstands, dresser and clothes rails.

2. Le Chic by GM Galimberti

Le Chic Modern Round Bed by GM Galimberti offers customized design and ergonomic solution that help maximize on space, exploit corners and take full advantage of the vertical areas in the bedroom.  Le Chic is available as a stand alone bed, with a variety of headboard heights and shapes and can even be complimented by integrated wardrobe and other storage solutions.

3. Histoire d’O by Prealpi

Histoire d’O is available with fixed, manual or electric controlled swiveling option with wood finished frame or upholstered in leather. Histoire d’O is equipped to be placed against a straight wall, corner or in the middle of a room.

5. Scoop by Saba Italia

An innovative solution from Saba Italia, Scoop is both a sofa and a round bed, or a round sofabed.  When used as a sofa, Scoop is positioned as two half circles, and when used as a bed, the two half circles are joined to create a round bed surface.

6. Constellation by Il Loft

Designed by Ron Arad, Nina Rota features a metal and wood structure.  The headboard integrates a colorful lacquered shelf for convenience and an upholstered cushion in fabric or leather.  Optional spherical, multipurpose trolley on castors.

9. Flutta by Lago

Not only unique because it is round, Flutta by Lago is also a “floating” bed with central bed support.  Flutta is available with a corner or a straight wall mount and can be complimented by a variety of storage units.

10. Lullaby Due by Poltrona Frau

Designed by Luigi Massoni, Lullaby Due Bed is based on one of the original round beds from the late 1960s.  Entirely upholstered in leather, Lullaby Due has a slightly curved headboard and rotates 360 degrees in either direction.
