Back in 2007 upon googling the word “table”, Prof. Ezri Tarazi, renowned designer, theoretician, and educator, recognized for his creativity and authentic craftsmanship was inspired by the search results.  Unlike ordinary people who would browse through the countless pages looking for the answer to their quest, Tarazi was driven to epitomize and personify the age of technology and the incredible pre-eminent presence that Google has over our daily life and culture.  Tarazi, wanted to stress the powerful, cross-generational, global and boundless sphere of influence that search engines have become and capture that in a way that only he knows how – authentic, ingenious and as with his other works – with a clear message.

The “Search Table” came to fruition through the incorporation of the first few hundreds images that resulted when the word “table” was Googled.  The images were “sawn” to flat surfaces printed directly upon the aluminum plate, creating the overall modern coffee table structure that is functional, thought-provoking and single-handedly unrivaled with its distinct appeal.
