To celebrate 150th anniversary of Italy’s unification, who’s who of the Italian design and furniture manufacturing sector jumped on the opportunity to commemorate this historical milestone.  The results were not only worthy of this huge landmark, but a spectacular design achievement with enormous value on the meaning and the story behind each of these momentous pieces.

Partnering with Gaetano Pesce, one of Italy’s most prominent design minds, Cassina showcased the Sessantuna collection of designer dining tables.  A total of 61 tables, symbolizing Italy’s provinces, tables are made using resins cast in three colors of the Italian flag (red, green, white) and are signed by the renowned designer.
