First Prize Winner of the interior innovation award at imm Cologne, Yakuza modern cocktail table collection by Industrial designers Naama Steinbock and Idan Friedman from Studio Reddish caught the attention of many by featuring the most extraordinary design that was creatively adapted from an entirely different realm of artistry. Named after traditional Japanese mafia, whose members were the only tattooed people in the country for a long time, the Yakuza table collection is treated like the human body where its character is dictated by the unique tattoo design printed on its wooden surface. Similar to the nature of the human body, the organic texture of wood becomes a podium for cultural and personal self-expression.
