Decorating with Pantone’s 2014 Color of the Year

Monday, February 17th, 2014

It’s Mid-February and 2014 is now officially in full swing, which means it’s time to act upon our resolutions, plans and wishlists.  If decorating, redecorating and remodeling is one of yours, then you must take into account Pantone’s 2014 color of the year when thinking about your interiors.  A truly stunning color on its own as well as when combined with a grey or a neutral palette, Radiant Orchid is every bit entrancing as it is versatile with eye-catching qualities.  Radiating with purple, pink and fuchsia nuances, this uplifting color is an expression of ingenuity, passion and elegance.

In modern décor, using this vibrant color can be realized in a variety of ways, from accents like a rug under Wave dining table by Tonin Casa or a bedding ensemble on brand new Basket bed by Bonaldo to a color splash in the form of Foscarini’s Super Nova suspension light.  Radiant orchid also takes center stage with bold appearance by way of luxurious velvet upholstery on a button-tufted Windsor sofa by Arketipo, on Joe platform bed by Bonaldo or Gamma Arredamenti’s Suite chaise lounge.

Regardless of how intensely this color is incorporated into modern interiors, its presence will emanate a great deal of creativity, exuberance and stylish flair.
