‘UNTOLD’ exhibition, commissioned by French fashion house Vionnet

With the help of the legendary Rossana Orlandi and the backdrop of an inspiring Renaissance styled historic Bagatti Valsecchi Museo, the UNTOLD exhibition by Vionnet’s visionary creative director and chairwoman, Goga Ashkenazi, showcased extraordinary talent from famous designers.

The exhibition fused resplendent past and modern design keeping aesthetic fluidity and respect to the historical context of the museum as its main prerogative.  The collection included well-known pieces by Barnaba Fornasetti, Maarten Baas and Salvadore Dali as well as especially commissioned pieces from Nacho Carbonell, Jacopo Foggini and Korean designer Wonmin Park, to name a few.

Paul Smith collaborates with Carl Hansen & Son and Maharam

Paul Smith has finally made its debut in the modern furniture world, but not without making it meaningful and memorable.  On a limited edition, in collaboration with the prestigious furniture manufacturer Carl Hensen & Son and using the unequivocally modern Maharam textiles, Paul Smith redefined legendary mid-century modern chairs by the ground-breaking Danish designer, Hans J. Wegner.

Showcased for the first time during the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Shell chair, Wing chair and Wegner’s other iconic furniture were modishly upholstered in Big Stripes and Stripes fabrics by Maharam that flawlessly translated Paul Smith’s signature style and Carl Hensen & Son’s impeccable craftsmanship.  The collaborative collection was, not surprisingly, timed to commemorate a legend in the modern furniture universe and the 100th anniversary of his birth.
