Made in Italy, the Air Lounge Modern Designer Sofa Set is an unconventional ensemble for the home, perfect in the living room, family room, bedroom or study. Modernism echoes from the juxtaposed elements of form and function bringing together a full, upholstered seating solution, individuality and refinement. It is components like an aerial, enveloping parabola that extends through the rear of each constituent or the comfortable seat and informal relaxation that make their presence known and simply make the Air Lounge Modern Sofa Set, unforgettable in every way.
Both the Air Lounge Sofa and the Air Lounge Chair are made of molded cold-cure flexible polyurethane foam. The padding completely incorporates the supporting structure, which is made of electro-welded steel plate. The suspension in the seating consists of elastic straps fixed to the basic structure. The unusual ring shape of the models makes the sewing and fitting of the upholstery especially difficult – so much so that the skill with which it has been accomplished is clearly evident even to non-expert eyes. The elements of the Air Lounge System collection could be upholstered in three distinctive manners: using one upholstery for the each element, using two upholsteries where one is applied to the interior and the other to the exterior of the elements, and lastly, using two upholsteries where one is applied to the seat and the other to the back. Air Lounge System upholstery consists of top-grain, genuine Italian leather (22 options) or fabric (54 options from 4 different collections), with the possibility of combining different colors and materials for every element.
The optional Air Lounge Coffee Tables are designed in two sizes and are veneered on the inside in Zebrano or Ebony wood, while the exterior is upholstered in material or leather. The element with two different heights and dual wood/upholstery surface is designed to be used either as a table or as a seat.
