Ribbon Designer Chair by Pierre Paulin for Artifort
Designed by the legendary Pierre Paulin for Artifort in 1966, the Ribbon Modern Chair projects a synthesis of quality materials and workmanship while crossing over stylistic terrains with its sculptural and functional elements. Manufactured in the Netherlands, the Ribbon Designer Armchair plays an important role in interpreting the modern domestic scene using signature Pop culture aesthetics that can be personalized through textural and chromatic variations, cementing its place as an eye-catching, talked about centerpiece with its bold contoured form that allows the user to assume a variety of positions while retaining the necessary support. Ribbon Chair has a tubular steel frame with horizontal springs, covered with molded foam and upholstered in a variety of fabrics or leathers that include 24 Atlantic fabric choices, 60 Tonus fabric choices, 57 Divina fabric choices, and 29 Bergamo fabric choices. A lacquered pressed-wood pedestal serves as Ribbon’s base and is available in red, light grey, black, white and silver colors. Optional Ribbon matching footstool is available to provide added comfort and complete Ribbon’s trendy appeal.
If selected, Ribbon Footstool will have the same upholstery and base finish as the Ribbon Chair.
Atlantic is an elastic fabric in 100% polyester fabric that is soft and elegant with wide color range and a sporty expression. Tonus is a Kvadrat fabric made up of 90% wool and 10% Helanca offering great durability and stretchability. Divina is another Kvadrat fabric in 100% wool with a non-directional woven design. Divina provides excellent seating comfort and superb appearance retention. Bergamo is a De Ploeg fabric made up of 66% wool, 27% Cotton and 7% Trevira cs, very pleasant to the touch with a textured 3-dimensional effect.
