Mosaico Modular Modern Bookcase is an architectural project that mixes informality with contrastingly striking sense of orderliness. Manufactured in Italy by Cattelan Italia, Mosaico Wall Unit has been formulated around the simple clean lines of modern design by perceiving them as interposed pieces with sensational continuity and maximized convenience.
Finished in white or oyster lacquered embossed wood, Mosaico Bookcase is a modular storage and display solution freely arranged using square elements with flat or three-dimensional nature. Each of the 7 different squares has its own individual functional predisposition, from blank, flat panels to mirrored panels, to panels with CD holders or ones with 2 or 3 shelves, panels made for a television and other media equipment. Cattelan Italia has created four compositions which combine the different panels into a functional whole unit (see technical specifications for details).
Composition A includes a double TV panel with CD holder panel on one side and a bookcase panel with two shelves on the other side. Composition B incorporates three vertically stacked mirrored panels on one side, two plain panels and one bookcase panel with three shelves on the other side. Composition C incorporates two plain panels and a TV mount that are perpendicularly arranged to a bookcase panel with 3 shelves, CD holder panel and a plain panel. Composition D incorporates three bookcase panels with two shelves each, two CD holder panels top with a plain panel, four plain panels with a TV mount, one 2-shelf bookcase panel and one 3-shelf bookcase panel.
