Designed by Wieneke Van Gemeren for Leolux and manufactured in the Netherlands, the Piombo Modern Coffee Table is comprised of heptagonal and hexagonal elements that fit together in three different ways, forming different shapes each time. Piombo table top has a lacquered finish, consistent of 48 choices and many unique textures (see definitions below), while the table legs are made of stainless steel.
Texture Definitions: Satine – For those who prefer a matt finish with its completely smooth pearly surface. Terreno – A second slightly darker lacquer is sprayed into the first wet lacquer color. A spontaneous reaction takes place as a result, causing both a two-tone and structure effect. Paletta – A version of Terreno giving soft, pastel shades with satine-like gloss and subtle colors. Cristallo – A hard, reinforced lacquer with high scratch-resistence for metallic effects. Composed of color pigments and aluminum elements that blend together during the lacquer process. Spruzza – A soft grain gives it more depth that the smooth Satine lacquer lacks.
