For over 25 years, nanimarquina has been designing and manufacturing rugs and other textile products with meticulous attention to raw materials and production processes. Headed by Nani Marquina, the company has been at the forefront of innovation, modernizing traditional techniques and in the process enriching the aesthetic attributes of the typically known rug surfaces. Headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, Nanimarquina has worked with world renowned designers among which are Patricia Urquiola, Ron Arad, Tord Boontje and Bouroullec brothers and manufactured its exceptional, award-winning creations using only the highest quality materials and handcrafted techniques.
Founded in 1987. nanimarquina specializes in production of designer modern rugs made with 100& New Zealand Wool. Rugs are manufactured in India and carry a "Care & Fair label", an organisation that since 1995 acts against child labor in India. Nani Marquina's rugs have won numerous International awards. In 2007, the Little Field of Flowers designed by Studio Tord Boontje was nominated for the Delta Prize. Also, nanimarquina received the prestigious “Red Dot for Superior Design Quality 2007” prize for the Little Field Of Flowers designed by Studio Tord Boontje. |
